About 200 students take a leave during their college years, with slightly more than 50% being a personal leave. The CRC leavetaking coordinators, Julianna Bradley '17.5, Matt Dang '17.5 and Ryan Greene '16.5, sponsored information sessions with returned leavetakers as panelists, and a welcome back dinner and potlucks for all students returning from a leave. The coordinators were available for one-on-one appointments and held drop-in hours at the center.
New this spring, Julianna and Matt facilitated workshops for returned leavetakers about transitioning back to academic and campus life.
The coordinators met with Student Support Services deans to consult with them about supporting students on medical leave.
During Orientation, the CRC's Ryan Greene '16.5 and Morgan Patrick '16.5 hosted a dinner for first-years who had taken a gap year.
